Characteristics of Amino Acid
Amino acid is colorless crystal, with melting point more than 200 ℃, which is much higher than that of ordinary organic compound. α -amino acid has four different tastes: acid, sweet, bitter and fresh. Monosodium glutamate and glycine are the most massively consumed flavoring ingredients. Amino acids are generally soluble in water, acid and alkali solutions, insoluble or slightly soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol or ether.
The common amino acid varieties include glutamic acid, lysine, threonine, phenylalanine. α -amino acid has four different tastes- acid, sweet, bitter and fresh. Therefore, amino acid contains almost no sugar. The inlet air temperature of the spray dryer is set to 180 ℃ during the production process. The initial moisture is in the range of 70-85%. The exhaust gas can be discharged directly to meet the international standard by the secondary cyclone collection + water film dust remover. The powder rate and the powder recovery rate is between 95-98%.
The spray drying is the widest used technology in the liquid shaping and in the drying industry. It is most suitable for producing powder, particle, or block solid products from materials of solution, emulsion, soliquoid and pumpable paste states. Therefore, in order to make sure the particle size, the final products distribution, the contents of residual water, stocking density, or particle shape to meet the strict standards, spray drying is one of the most desired technologies.
This drying equipment adops the high-speed centrifugal atomizer to disperse the materials into fog, fully contacting with the hot air to complete instant drying, and forms dried powder products. The air passes through the primary effect first, the medium effect filter, after heating by the heater, then passes through the high temperature high efficiency filter, and then enters the dryer top air distributor. The hot air spirals evenly into the drying chamber, in contact with the hot air, and can be dried into finished products in a very short time. The finished products are continuously discharged by cyclone separator, bag dust collector, and exhaust gas is discharged from induced fan.
● The drying speed of centrifugal spray dryer is rapid. When liquid raw material is atomized, the surface of the material will be enlarged greatly. 95% - 98% of water can be evaporated instantly in the hot airflow and the drying process only lasts a few seconds. This dryer is especially suitable to dry the heat sensitive material.
● The uniformity, flow capability & solubility of finished products after drying process by this spray dryer is very good. The finished products have high quality and high-purity.
● This spray dryer is with simple and stable operation, convenient control and debugging, easy to achieve automatic operation.
● The production process is simple. The spray dryer can dry the liquid material which contains 40%-60% (90% for special materials) of moisture into powder at once. There’s no need for smashing or sieving after drying so the operational environment is clean and in healthful condition, it also can avoid powder flying in the air during drying process.
● Exhaust air processing unit
The method of two-stage cyclone separation is used to collect powder. Cyclone separation is a common gas-solid separation method, almost no maintenance, tail gas into the water dust collector.
A water foam precipitator is arranged in the exhaust system, the middle part of the water foam precipitator is equipped with two perforated plates, the water circulates the water in the water foam dust collector through a circulating pump, and the gas contacts with the water in the 2 layers perforating plate upward from the inlet of the water foam dust collector. The material in the air is absorbed by water, and the vapor air passes up through the defoaming device and becomes clean air.

● Vibration air hammer is installed on dry tower straight cone. It can periodicly knock the wall to remove the floating powder.
● By lowering the atomizer seat and increasing the distance between the atomizing tray and the top of the atomizer, the atomizing liquid droplets cannot return to the top under the spinning pressure of the wind, effectively eliminating the suction action of the atomizer's high speed rotating pump and preventing the phenomenon of dry powder coking in the high temperature region caused by the swirl topping.

● The straight section of the main tower of spray dryer is designed into a three-story structure, and an insulation layer is designed between the jacket and the cover, which saves energy and keeps the working site from being overheated. The hot air produced by the main tower cooling jacket can enter the air inlet of the blower, thus saving energy, improving the working environment, and at the same time reducing the plant's central air-conditioning energy consumption.
● Hot water or alkaline water cleaned from main towers and pipes of spray dryer can be recycled and reused.
● Adopting corner seat valve on the spray dryer to control steam, which can save steam.
● Constant temperature control is adopted in electric heating of spray dryer to save power supply.
● All fans on spray dryer are controlled by frequency conversion, which can save energy.
