UV Germicidal Lamp is one of mercury lamp, in which the excited mercury atoms can different wavelengths characteristics when transition. The human eye can not see ultraviolet light of 100nm-400nm UV wavelength.
100-400nm wavelength of UV, according to their function and effect on human, can be divided into UV-A, UV-B, UV-C and V-UV.
254nm wavelength UV-C destroy microorganisms effectively, such as DNA structure of bacterial and viruses to achieve sterilization purposes.
UV 185nm of 100-200nm wavelength can produce ozone, and ozone can also achieve sterilization and eliminating taste effects. 185nm wavelength can aslo hydrolysis organic moleules in water as well as producing hydrogen, oxygen, free radicals. It ultimately oxidize organic molecules.
